We have been at the forefront of environmentally sustainable design for decades, having played an integral role in some of the most prominent “green” building projects in the country, including the award-winning Herman Miller “GreenHouse” project and the Steelcase Wood Plant, the first LEED-Silver certified manufacturing facility in the country.

A member of the U.S. Green Building Council, we currently have 32 LEED accredited professionals on staff and have worked extensively with the LEED rating system. Our considerable work with and knowledge of the LEED rating system is a benefit that is passed along to our clients.  We are knowledgeable with solutions for the LEED requirements listed below, and many others:

  • • commissioning of building energy systems;
  • • recycling job site debris;
  • • use of recycled, regional and rapidly renewable materials;
  • • use of low emitting adhesives, sealants, paints and carpeting to improve indoor environmental quality and optimizing energy performance.

We are committed to sustainable design for many reasons, most notably because it just makes sense: the long-range environmental benefits cannot be calculated. That is why we have been building 'green' for many years and are a founding member of the West Michigan Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.
