This two-story middle school was constructed using the tilt-wall method and is a full hurricane force wind resistant impact rated structure and a Collier County designated emergency shelter. The 45 acre site with preserve area has a 42 acre storm water drainage area with two storm water ponds at 1.5 and 4.5 acres. The school has nine fully equipped science lab classrooms, a music/chorus hall with acoustical wall panels and a state-of-the-art kitchen capable of serving 950 students. Athletic facilities provide for baseball, softball and track as well as other activities in the fully equipped gymnasium. There is a self-contained waste water system, ice-storage chilled water HVAC system and an expansionwas completed on the on-site, self-contained water plant shared with the adjacent elementary school.
