The classroom experience for students at the Sugden Resort and Hospitality Management School was designed and built to mirror as closely as possible to a hotel’s spa and banquet experience. This project was completed in two phases to accomodate school schedules. In Phase 1, the new resort and hospitality management classroom building was constructed along with classrooms and administration offices, golf Instructional areas, conference room, break room and staff lounge and porte corche coverings. The second phase was completed without disruption to ongoing classes and activities in the building. Added to the second floor was the complete indoor spa with custom whirl pool spa, steam room, hydrotherapy, hair/nail salon, locker rooms & misc. treatment rooms. The full commercial kitchen for teaching, banquet room and three ballrooms were built in and the wine technology classroom was finished with easy speak write on/wipe off wallpaper in teacher area. Specialty items such as zebra wood pattern manufactured wood in the massage room, poplar wood lockers in the shower area, white cedar-lined sauna brought in from Switzerland and a Vichey Spa for mud/mineral treatments completed the project.
