As part of O-A-K’s 120th anniversary initiative, and as a statment of our continued commitment to downtown Grand Rapids, we completely revamped our corporate headquarters in 2011. The design brings fresh daylight into all workspaces and promotes collaboration.
Project scope included complete demolition of interior space and reconfiguration of the entire building. New HVAC, new electrical, all new finishes, installation of an elevator, relocation of the entry to the corner of Ionia & Crescent, and reconfiguration of the entire interior made way for the creation of a large community-room, full-service kitchen and three conference rooms.
State-of-the-art technology is also incorporated throughout the entire building. All employees’ workspaces are equipped with a minimum of two flat panel monitors. Other technology includes tech-hub furniture, overhead sound masking system, large flat panel monitors in all conference rooms and an integrated speaker system for training sessions.
O-A-K staff completed the architectural design, construction management, carpentry, concrete and millwork.
