This project was part of a $45.8 million bond that passed in May 2008. Construction at Rockford High School included interior renovations, building additions, 4 new multi-purpose fields, 1 new baseball field, 1 new softball field, new track and turf on the stadium field. The Transportation Building received a new bus canopy, snow melt system and interior renovations. Cannonsburg Elementary (17,800 sf) received technology upgrades, additional parking and a two story addition housing classrooms and storage. Valley View Elementary (6,500 sf) received 4 new classrooms/sensory rooms, additional parking and technology upgrades. Lakes Elementary (10,400 sf) received 7 new classrooms/sensory rooms, playground relocation, additional parking, and technology upgrades.

Roguewood Elementary (9,900 sf) received 7 new classrooms/sensory rooms, new multipurpose field, additional parking, technology upgrades and miscellaneous reroofing. Parkside Elementary received technology upgrades and reroofing of areas in need of replacement. East Rockford Middle School (1,200 sf) received an instrument storage addition, new track surfaces, 3 multi-purpose fields, 6 ball fields, 2 baseball fields, additional parking and technology upgrades.

North Rockford Middle School (1,400 sf) received new instrument storage addition, stairwell and elevator addition, new track surfaces and new tennis courts, renovation of the science labs, technology upgrades, new flooring, lockers, and ceiling.

Rockford Public Schools has worked exclusively with O-A-K since 1990. One of our most notable projects was the new $38 million, 339,000 sf mega high school in 1993, which included a state of the art pool.
