Project Manager

David joined O‑A‑K in December 2022 as a Project Manager. Originally from northern Indiana, he found his way to Kalamazoo by attending Western Michigan University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering. He also holds certificates in OSHA 30-hour safety training and Dale Carnegie effective communications and human relations. David has experience working on projects that range from $500,000 remodels to $70 million bond projects.

What do you do in your free time?

I enjoy watching college football and basketball, four-wheeling up north, golfing, boating, and fishing. You will also find me updating or remodeling something on my house.

Why did you choose the construction industry?

I always say this, but I think the construction industry chose me. My dad had a construction business while I was growing up, and I've been swinging a hammer or helping around the job site as long as I can remember. I've always enjoyed putting the pieces together and trying to figure out the best way to solve problems.
