Cory joined O‑A‑K after serving Southwest Florida in the media industry as a marketer, journalist, and digital editor with a passion for presentation, video and storytelling. His 15 years as a journalist in local television, print and digital helped him connect with local leaders and share the story of our community. In Cory's current role, he works with his O‑A‑K teammates to share the company's story, oversees campaigns supporting our projects and partners, and building a better, stronger community.

HOW DID YOUR JOURNEY WITH O‑A‑K BEGIN?

I got a call out of the blue from my good friend at O‑A‑K. He was looking for a new teammate to join the marketing team in telling the O‑A‑K story. I had admired O‑A‑K's sterling reputation in Southwest Florida for many years during my time in the media and I relished the opportunity to learn more and be a part of something special. Before I knew it, I landed with this great team at O‑A‑K. Getting the opportunity to join my talented teammates and tell our story is a passion of mine and I'm so fortunate to help build on our great company culture.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

I enjoy living the Florida lifestyle, lounging at the pool with friends and family, dominating on trivia night, playing men's league softball, and watching all of my favorite teams compete on the field (Go Chiefs!). I especially love my wife Kirsten and our cats Sparkle and Steele and we can't wait to embark on our next cruise around the Caribbean. I was raised in the Midwest, but Florida is my forever home -- and I love sharing that with family and friends -- and learning something new every day.
