O-A-K's 2017 volunteer initiative kicked off this spring with service projects for Camp Blodgett and Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity. A total of four days and 190 work-hours were donated in the month of May. The organizations were nominated and selected by our corporate volunteer committee.
Camp Blodgett teams worked on bunker cabins, providing interior painting and minor repairs and renovations. Our Habitat for Humanity team helped with the construction of a 1,100 sf home in the South Edison neighborhood of Kalamazoo, helping with the installation of interior wood studs and blocking as well as vinyl siding and roof penetrations for future plumbing work. We give a big thanks to our team captains who organized these events!
