Owen-Ames-Kimball Company completes new home for New Hope Presbyterian Church

Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (O-A-K) announces the completion of New Hope Presbyterian Church at 10051 Plantation Rd. in Fort Myers. The new permanent church home for the 1,000-member congregation features a 14,000-square-foot sanctuary with a seating capacity of 490 seats, a platform choir area with seating for 56, a narthex, a cry/bride room, storage rooms, restrooms and a serving pantry.

The sanctuary is equipped with motorized acoustical banners and other acoustical features including a state-of-the-art sound and audiovisual system. A special feature of the sanctuary is the stained glass window in the north curtain wall behind the platform area. A memorial garden is located to the east of the sanctuary.

The Christian Education Building is 20,200 square feet and houses the pastor’s and administration offices, toddler and infant rooms, pre-K classrooms, two large rooms for children’s ministry, K-1 through K-5 classrooms, several adult ministry classrooms and restrooms. The property has paved parking spaces for 162 cars and grassed parking spaces for 199 cars, and offers two entry/exit road connections to Planation Road.

The O-A-K project team included Project Manager Abrie Spies and Superintendent Tim Harkins.

“OAK has been an awesome company with whom to work. They have worked with our church with great professionalism and excellence,” said New Hope Presbyterian Pastor Eddie Spencer.

“Having worked in commercial real estate, I was most impressed by the job site superintendent’s willingness to do everything that was asked of him, even if it was outside of his job description. He delivered on promises and worked diligently to complete the construction of our new church home,” added Dan Miller, co-chair, New Hope Presbyterian Church Building Committee.
