Meet Tom Stanek
Todd Steffen
Previously from Illinois, Todd brings over 30 years of accounting construction experience to O‑A‑K. He holds his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his master’s in business administration from Illinois State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. Todd is also a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and the Construction Financial Management Association.
When did you realize the construction industry was for you?
With my Dad being the CFO of a Construction Company, I grew up visiting job sites, working summers doing various projects, and later working in the Accounting Department during college. These opportunities allowed me to identify early on that I wanted to be in the Construction Industry. It’s a unique industry that requires tremendous teamwork and finding ways around many obstacles that can develop on a project. It’s very satisfying to be part of the team that delivers projects that improve things for our customers and communities.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with family, friends, traveling, and playing golf.
