(Grand Rapids, MI) June 13, 2023 – Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Co. (O‑A‑K), local professional construction firm, announces the hiring of new staff, including George Alverson, Bailey Baas, Tori Brayton, Dan Gelder, Adam Seng, Jared VanderBor, and Chris Zadorozny.
George Alverson, Assistant Project Superintendent, comes to O‑A‑K with 26 years of construction experience. In his free time, he enjoys snowmobiling, horseback riding, camping, fishing, and driving his Jeep. George is currently on site at Bowen Elementary, in the Kentwood Public Schools District.
Bailey Baas, Marketing Assistant, joins the team as a marketing assistant with a focus on business development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Kalamazoo College and has three years of digital media experience.
Tori Brayton, Assistant Project Superintendent, has 11 years of prior construction experience and is working towards a B.S. in Construction Management at Northern Michigan University. She is currently on site at St. Paul the Apostle in Grand Rapids, working on their Early Childhood Center addition.
Dan Gelder, Assistant Project Superintendent, joins O‑A‑K’s team with 19 years of experience. In his spare time, Dan enjoys hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities with his family. Dan is currently on site at Van Buren ISD Bert Goens Learning Center.
Adam Seng, Senior Project Manager, has 21 years of experience and a bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Ferris State University. He brings high-level experience managing multi-million-dollar projects in the healthcare, education, and commercial markets. In his free time, Adam is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) and Leadership Grand Rapids.
Jared VanderBor, Project Superintendent, joins the O‑A‑K team with 11 years of experience and a B.S. in Construction Management from Ferris State University. Jared holds a number of professional certifications, including OSHA 10 Hour, OSHA 30 Hour, Fork Truck Aerial Lift, and Storm Water Operator. Jared is currently the on-site superintendent at the Paw Paw Public High School addition project.
Chris Zadorozny, Proposal Coordinator, joins the marketing team with 10 years of professional writing experience and a B.A. in journalism from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. When he is not working, Chris enjoys running and skiing.
