This road improvements project included expanding two miles of Edgewater Drive from two lanes to four lanes from Harbor Blvd. to Midway Blvd., replacing three 180' bridges (Sunrise Waterway, East Spring Lake and West Spring Lake), and roundabouts were added at Port Charlotte Blvd., W. Tarpon Blvd., Lakeview Blvd. and Midway Blvd. The traffic signal was replaced at Harbor Blvd. and the intersection re-paved. Grass medians, landscaping, irrigation, decorative lighting and sidewalks were also installed. The landscape design included the center of the roundabouts, 2 lift station sites, and Sunrise Park improvement around the stormwater ponds.
