
This project includes renovation of the existing chiller plant building and addition of a parallel section. The existing and new chillers systems, as well as emergency power generation, supports the entire Collier County Government campus, therefore phasing and continuity of systems was critical.
Project scope also entailed:
- Demolition of existing chillers and associated ice storage
- New 1.6-million-gallon Thermal Energy Storage Tank (TES) & chiller equipment
- 2 new 2500kW generators and related infrastructure
- Pre-cast concrete hollow core planks, steel framing, roofing, finishes
- Site improvements needed to support the new systems
- Parking lot renovation and landscaping
- Remodeling and addition required on Building K to support the new systems
- Flood proofing to safeguard operations during storm events
