The project replaced bridge structure 014017 at the Desoto Canal with a precast concrete deck bridge and a temporary bridge with related structures with a school zone and church zone in the area. Construction included maintenance of traffic, erosion control, clearing and grubbing and excavation and embankment stabilizing. The roadwork included mill & overlay, concrete driveway and sidewalk reconstruction and drainage. Structure foundations, structural steel & bridge deck joints along with concrete curb and gutter. Special traffic barriers and a pedestrian railing installed for local school children and other pedestrians. Pull & junction boxes, highway signs, reflective signage & pavement markers were also installed.
