Performance & Practice Spaces Reimagined

This new state-of-the art concert hall and music department building was completed in 2015. Special components include pre-cast concrete exterior wall panels, a glass-enclosed two-story lobby area, an acoustically superior main performance hall with 800 seats (550 main floor and 250 balcony), an intimate recital hall with flexible seating for up to 125, new instrumental and choral rehearsal rooms, multiple faculty studios and practice rooms, and a dedicated organ studio.

Logistics and planning were key elements to the success of this project, as the site is adjacent to a railroad track as well as ongoing campus operations.

This project was completed by our joint venture team, composed of Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. and GDK Construction (local Holland firm), under the name G.O. CONSTRUCTION.
