The WACO / Junkers Aircraft Facility project included the construction of a new pre-engineered metal building and a small interior renovation to connect the addition seamlessly to the existing manufacturing facility. The expansion supports increased aircraft production capacity and operational efficiency for Junkers Aircraft.
Although the facility is located adjacent to Battle Creek Executive Airport, the project is not situated on airport property and is therefore not subject to the full scope of FAA regulations typically required for airport construction. Due to its proximity to active runways, specific operational constraints were implemented, including crane height restrictions to maintain runway safety and security protocols.
