This new location centralizes Kent County’s North County Substation, for the sheriff’s department, and the North County Clinic, for the health department. The building has separate sides to house both parties, brought together by a public lobby and conference rooms. The shared lobby features a skylight ribbon, which allows the facility to receive an abundance of natural light.
On the substation side, there is a cruiser yard and a fully functioning police station, which houses the office spaces for sergeants and detectives, a briefing room, and road patrol.
The North County Clinic contains 10 clinic rooms and a large biologics room, allowing the clinic to provide Women, Infants & Children (WIC) and immunization services to the community.
