The two phased project kept the church open during entire construction period. A new memorial garden shelter was built with tile flooring and a 12’ wooden cross was erected, constructed from hard wood by one of the parishioniers. The south side of chancel was remodeled, to include new larger windows for a better view of the new prayer garden. Brick pathways leading to memorial shelter which includes a labyrinth, a 6’ Italian marble statue of Mary, semi-private prayer areas with benches and a mosaic fountain built in Jerusalem. The project provided new landscaping at garden shelter and along pathways, extensive custom tile and brick work and a new roadside entrance sign.
