This $3.2 million addition and renovation project was funded by a capital campaign called “Building a Legacy on the Rock”.

The project was conducted in one phase to ensure a fast-track completion before Easter 2021. The new addition is designed to allow for more gathering space for Sunday school and Children’s mass. A centrally located youth space shows the church’s dedication to encouraging growth in the Catholic faith among the younger generation. The renovations bring the church’s existing sanctuary up to code by providing new mechanical equipment and fire suppression, in addition to the ADA access.

The exterior features a new entry and outdoor landscaping to allow for a more functional outdoor space to pray, meditate, and enjoy the serene view of Kalamazoo Lake. This space includes the large statue of the patron Saint Peter.
