Taylor Sawatzky

Sr. Director of Business Development and Marketing

Taylor Sawatzky is a dynamic business development leader known for building strong relationships and driving growth across the construction industry. With a proven history of creating strategic partnerships and delivering effective development initiatives, he has established himself as a trusted connector and problem solver within Southwest Florida.

Raised in LaBelle, Taylor began his professional journey in public service, gaining valuable experience in community engagement, project management, and government operations. He later transitioned into the building industry, where he combined his passion for innovation with his commitment to serving the local community.

Taylor is a certified Project Management Professional and Certified Public Manager, a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, and a graduate of Leadership Collier. Today, he continues to apply his unique blend of leadership, integrity, and strategic insight to support O-A-K’s mission and long-standing reputation as a community centered construction leader.

When did you realize construction was the right choice for you?

When I transitioned from the military into civilian life, I started working on projects for the local government. That experience showed me how construction directly impacts a community and improves the lives of the people who live in it. I discovered that I genuinely enjoyed connecting with the public, coordinating details, and helping bring meaningful projects to life. That is when I knew construction was the path where I belonged.

How did your journey with O-A-K begin?

My journey with O A K began during a leadership program in Southwest Florida. Throughout the program, I learned about the company, their commitment to people, and the pride they take in serving the community. It immediately stood out to me because the values I was raised with matched the values O-A-K operates by. When the opportunity came to join the team, it felt like a natural fit both personally and professionally.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two energetic boys. Most of my time outside of work is focused on being together at home, catching up, and enjoying the everyday moments that keep our family close. I also make time for a few personal hobbies like golfing, swimming, and running. Those activities help me stay balanced and recharged.
