The Allegan Area Educational Services Agency’s Auto Tech Building is a $6.3 million state-of-the-art facility designed to double the program’s capacity from 44 to 88 students. The project included two 1,700-square-foot classrooms and two 7,000-square-foot hands-on workshops, equipped with six hydraulic lifts and heated slabs to provide even heat distribution throughout the spaces. In addition to expanding student capacity, the facility allows the program’s heavy equipment section to relocate into the auto tech’s former building, returning it to on-campus use and providing a modern, flexible learning environment for instruction and hands-on training in diesel and heavy equipment technology.
