
Initiated by a structural roof collapse in June of 2019, the school district turned misfortune into opportunity. The concept of renovating the entire building was born in early 2020 and by November of that year, a community-led bond initiative was passed to fund both renovations and expansions.

The building remained occupied and operational throughout the construction process and was located on a tight, urban site. Construction began in the fall of 2021 and was completed in ten phases over the course of three years - with final completion in the fall of 2024!
