School Renovation with New Addition

Lowell Middle School underwent a $34 million total makeover that modernized the 1960s building, part of the $52 million bond passed by Lowell community voters in 2019.

The transformation included a two-story addition that focused on creating collaborative learning spaces for hands-on activities and project-based learning. In addition to 21st century learning environments, the scope included:

  • New, larger classrooms
  • New science laboratories
  • Technology and security improvements
  • A new cafeteria and kitchen
  • Six new tennis courts
  • Centralized heating and cooling system
  • New traffic configuration to improve pick up and drop-offs.
